We use the Minority Stress Model as a framework for understanding how discrimination, prejudice, gender norms, and racism results in higher occurrences of psychological problems. We work with multiple sexual and gender identities including kink/BDSM, polyamorous relationships, consensual nonmonogamy, pansexual, gender nonbinary, gender nonconforming, and many other identities.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

I work with individuals navigating transitions throughout early, emerging, and mid-adulthood. My clients are often facing challenges with perfectionism, stress, avoidance, depressed mood, feelings of guilt, worry, shame, anxiety, grief/loss, maternal mental health, and navigating the world as a highly sensitive person. I work best with motivated clients who are ready to engage actively in the therapy process and work towards uncovering their most authentic and meaningful life.
Your body and mind can be uncomfortable places to be when dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, physical injury/disability, identity questions, and/or trauma. It can be especially uncomfortable or even scary when you feel alone or stuck without effective ways to work through what's happening. Together, we can find ways to make your body and mind comfortable places to be that fit your life and needs.
I work exclusively with law enforcement, first responders, veterans and their families. My clients come to work on issues like anxiety, trauma, work stress, home stress, and everything in between. My couples clients come to me to heal from betrayal, the impact of trauma on the relationship, or to improve communication and connectedness. If you have tried talk therapy without success, or if you are skeptical about the whole therapy thing, consider giving me a try. I like a challenge.
Have you lost sight of who you are and what you want in life? Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or defeated? Have you thought about starting therapy but taking the plunge feels too vulnerable and scary? I work with clients who sense that change needs to happen but aren’t sure what that means for them or where to begin. Together, we will explore and unravel the roots of your challenges to ease your suffering and connect you to your life worth living.
