About My Clients

You're an expecting or new mom, determined to parent differently than you were raised. Negative self-talk and "what ifs" seem never-ending. Fear and anxiety about repeating old patterns cause you to overthink and disconnect. Family resistance and misunderstanding lead to shutdowns, shame, and guilt. Unsolicited advice feels overwhelming and judgmental. Self-care is crucial as you forge new paths as a woman and mother. You deeply want to let go of past pain so it no longer impacts your present.

My Background and Approach

I help moms, whichever stage, heal from unhealthy family dynamics, childhood pain, and trauma to parent with more intention and purpose. I also work with mothers who want to rediscover themselves within their motherhood journey. This is the most courageous thing you could do and a true act of self-love. Break away from unhelpful and harmful behaviors. Forge new paths! I use body-based therapies, EMDR, somatic experiencing, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and yoga to connect the mind AND body to LET GO of the intensity of the thoughts, sensations, and emotions, to feel like a better wife/mother/friend/woman! Discover your true self and desires. Break generational cycles for a healed future. I have over 10 years of experience working with women and children recovering from domestic and sexual violence and family trauma. I know the unique challenges, both personally and professionally, mothers face when healing from childhood trauma. It impacts your identity as a woman as well as a mother.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe all behavior has a purpose; usually protection. If we sit with what our body has to say and listen we will learn what that function is. I don't believe we can "hack" our mental health struggles. This is a slow process of our body relearning what true safety and belonging look like. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because we've learned behaviors that kept us safe in the past but now are keeping us stuck. My parents divorced when I was young and my home life was vastly different at each house. As a child and into adulthood I've struggled with rest, hypervigilance, and co-dependency with family and relationships. Through my own somatic therapy, and becoming a mother, I've learned how to better take care of myself, hold boundaries, and unlearn behaviors that stem from attachment wounds. I'm a member of the LGBTQ community, and support Black Lives Matter, Pro-Choice, and Free Palestine. If you want to learn more about how I can help, send me a message.
