About My Clients

Do you struggle with feeling valued, seen or heard? Are you feeling overwhelmed with your place in your family, friend group or romantic partnership? Do you find yourself inundated with intrusive thoughts? The worry creeps in and seems to impact everything you do, as if you're carrying around a heavy balloon. I will help you process your relationship with yourself, create a pathway to radical self-acceptance, and the grace to process transformative healing.

My Approach to Helping

I believe that we are heavily influenced by the systems that surround us, including our cultural, social, and family backgrounds. I believe that our early experiences within those systems shape our world view, our concept of ourselves, and how we view the world and others around us. Our overall beliefs can impact what we think, how we feel and how we behave. If we can process our past experiences and how they formed us, we can see patterns that may not be serving us today. Adapting those patterns can help us heal, grow, and change. My prior experience includes working with families, youth, and couples in both community-based and private-practice settings. I have worked with foster youth, individuals struggling with a housing or job-related crisis and have taught students in a university setting. I have lived in communities from California to Montana and Western Washington, where I found home.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Our relationship with ourselves is life-long and at times, takes the back seat in our own lives. Perhaps you have felt overwhelmed as life continues to move forward while you have found less joy in things you used to love. You feel stuck as if you’re losing parts of yourself, or maybe you aren’t sure who you are just yet. Our struggles can often make it feel like we carry around a burden of pain. Life seems to find ways to enable us to walk around our pain or over it but not through it. The hardest thing to do is to go through it. Learn from it, adapt with it. Sometimes the bravest thing is to choose you.
