My Background and Approach
I have spent over a decade working with people just like you, perfecting the skills I teach. My desire is for you to be able to independently meet your goals regardless of who or what is around you. I want you to be able to assess the experience you are in by taking a personal inventory of what you are experiencing and how you want to react. I want you to have full control over your thoughts, body, emotions, and responses to all situations, and feel CONFIDENT in YOURSELF. I am direct yet compassionate and use a variety of proven therapeutic techniques to address what is going on for you right now. I will teach you how to then apply those same skills in the future when you need them. I will teach you how your brain and body work together for hurt and healing, and how to direct your skills towards lifelong healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I base the support I offer on the strong belief that everyone can change, grow and learn at any stage of life. I do not believe in the idea of "good or bad" when talking about what someone has done in order to cope with their stress. Rather, I believe all forms of coping served a purpose at one time. We can thank it for its purpose and move forward with new strategies and skills that can help us in more productive ways for the future. I believe everyone can eliminate their old skills and replace them with new ones. I believe in whole mind/body/spirit holistic care, having received a Reiki certification. I believe in supporting ALL people and do not discriminate. I believe silence in the face of adversity and discrimination is the same as condoning or engaging in it. I am an ally. I am a healer.
