About My Clients
Are you struggling from trauma, anxiety, sleep issues, difficult transitions, or brain injury and want to find healing? Our work will be a collaborative effort of recognizing, feeling, and processing some of the most difficult challenges you may be facing. I empower you to be the guide while holding space and reassurance that you're not alone on your journey. Along the way, I'll offer practical strategies that you can take out of the therapy space and into your life.
My Background and Approach
I moved to Denver in 2009 and received a Masters in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in International Disaster Psychology, from the University of Denver. I am a licensed professional counselor, certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer, and I hold a certificate in Traumatic Stress through the Trauma Research Foundation. I lead with a client-centered approach; offering deep listening, compassion, validation and collaborative planning for the path ahead. I empower clients by helping them learn to trust themselves and providing them with practical tools for their every day lives. My aim is for clients to work with me as long as they want, but for as little as they need to find lasting healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about supporting individuals experiencing suffering. Trauma can take many different forms, bringing shame and a general sense of not belonging. This pain may lead to strained relationships, anxiety, depression, discontentment, and reliance on unhealthy coping strategies to numb ourselves. I believe that each individual and their circumstances are unique, yet that everyone posses an inner knowing. It's important that each client leaves a session with me having felt seen, heard, and more equipped with healthy strategies to support their healing.
