About My Clients
Do you have a heaviness that won't lift? No matter what you do, you can't get it (life, work, relationships, your faith, fill in the blank!) right and you're lost and frustrated. Anxious and depressed. You can't get things to budge even a little and mostly it just hurts. I get it - you're stuck and you can't find your way out. That's where I come in. I am here to help you find your path to peace, find your footing and move towards the life you want, the person you want to be.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy with non-judgment, compassion, and intention. My work over the last ten years has been helping folks like you approach your life and yourself with the same tools. We'll start with bringing awareness into what's happening for you moment to moment, what's causing you pain and what's keeping you stuck. Your own inner wisdom knows what you need and I will help you attune to the intentional and compassionate parts of yourself to bring both change and acceptance into your life. I regularly attend trauma-focused trainings and will bring the latest neuroscience and research into our work together. I will teach you skills to cope with and reduce the suffering you feel. And you'll gain self-trust and self-awareness so you can build a life that brings you joy and meaning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My favorite conversations are where science and the mysteries and magic of life meet. For instance, I about lost my mind when I read that trees communicate with each other to support one another's growth. Sure, they still compete for resources to a degree, but they also live interdependently and in community. The magic of that scientific discovery sends shivers down my spine. I am filled with awe by the way our world and our bodies and brains work. I believe in our interconnectedness and that what's good for the earth is good for humans. I believe that what's good for my neighbor is good for me. I am committed to radical acceptance and rest, painful learning and growing, and supporting others on that journey.
