Grief and Loss are and can be a significant part of a person's life, a sentinel event, a cumulation of losses that may have begun in childhood and carried over to adult life, and many more experiences that constitute grief and loss. We can be left with significant physical and emotional health issues when confronted with grief and loss. I am a huge proponent of grief and loss processing and will approach this from a highly tailored and sequential format that is specific to your needs.

This can be a challenging time for both the adolescent and the parent or guardian. I treat a very comprehensive scope of adolescent issues including but not limited to: adjustment disorders, challenges at school and academic performance, ADHD, depression, anxiety, self-harm, body image, PTSD, and all forms of abuse, and I also offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Family Systems are a multigenerational/historical approach to understanding emotional and behavioral disorders. Rooted in the notion that the self needs to be differentiated from the family system with clarity, insight, and evaluation of the transmission processes one can have a reduction in anxiety, depression, and symptoms related to family processes and can become highly individualized engaging in the extended families system.

Horses have been used for therapeutic purposes since the time of the ancient Greeks. The Greek physician Hippocrates, known as the "Father of Medicine," wrote about the therapeutic potential of horseback riding. Equine-assisted psychotherapy incorporates horses into the therapeutic process. People engage in activities such as grooming, feeding, and leading a horse while being supervised by a mental health professional.
