About My Clients
I specialize in working with people who struggle with nightmares, sleep problems, anxiety, conflict in their personal relationships, panic attacks, or feelings of numbness or lack of emotion. I also love to work with equestrians, people who have experienced medical trauma, and gifted people.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a few trauma informed modalities such as EMDR and Deep Brain Reorienting to help people recover from things that have happened in the past that are affecting their ability to fully engage in the present moment. Treatment goes at the pace that is right for you, and you are informed about where we are in your treatment process along the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to heal from the bad things that have happened to them. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is disconnection from ourselves, others, nature, and the traumas or shocks we have endured during our lives that have never been fully processed. As a child, I suffered from severe anxiety, panic attacks, and unacknowledged neurodivergence (giftedness). My relationship with my animals (horses mostly) taught me how to regulate, sit with my emotions and find a sense of centeredness. As an adult, I also worked with my own therapist(s) to process unhealed traumatic events and I am grateful for how much it improved my life, and feel it an honor to share this same healing with clients. I am also a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind and have raised over 15 puppies for them. I’m an avid reader, traveler, and can never get enough time with my horses.
